Sharon Mansur is a Washington, DC area based dance artist and educator, and she directs the performance project mansurdance, creating multi-media choreographic and improvisational dances in theaters, galleries and site-specific venues. Her work has been seen throughout the U.S. as well as England and Argentina. Sharon received a 2010 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in solo dance performance, and has also been supported through the Virginia Commission for the Arts, The Kennedy Centerʼs Local Dance Commissioning Project, and The Bossak-Heilbron Charitable Foundation among others. She is a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CMA) and is currently on the dance faculty at the University of Maryland.
