ericka lashley

Ericka started her dance journey at the age of 5 at a small studio in Battle Creek, MI. Upon her familyʼs arrival to Chicago three years later, she started taking classes at the American Dance Center, where she trained until her high school graduation 10 years later. Ericka continues her training at Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago. Most recently, she performed in the Chicago Freelance Dance Showcase for two independent choreographers in May 2011, and will be performing at Dance Chicago with one of those choreographers in this fall. Ericka has been teaching and choreographing in the South Suburbs on a volunteer basis for the last 6 years; her work has been seen in schools, community childrenʼs programs, church productions, festivals and weddings. She is excited about working with her peers for the first time and presenting her work at the Chicago Freelance Dance showcase in December 2011.
