theater etiquette ]
The Wellspring Theater is an intimate 110 seat theater. Dressing rooms are located off stage left. Because the theater is intimate and the audience is seated so close to the stage there are a few etiquettes that we ask you to follow.
- Voices from the backstage and dressing room areas travel into the audience. Please keep your voices down in the dressing room and backstage area. Some of the pieces have very little sound or none at all. So, please give respect to the performers on stage by keeping your backstage voices low.
- The stage manager will tell you when it is time to take your places. Please stay out of the wings in the backstage area prior to your piece.
- There is very little room on stage right. You can be seen by the audience unless you stand right up against the wings. If you enter from stage right at the beginning of your piece, you must wait for the blackout before your piece to get into your wing. Also, please wait to do your crossover until the curtain call of the piece that precedes your own.
- Please refrain from entering and exiting the backstage area from and to the house whenever there is an audience present. There is a backstage door that you may use for entering and exiting the backstage area.
